Literature Club (Book Club)

Often referred to as book club, this club is for students who enjoy reading books and discussing them with others.
For all students. There are three separate groups that read age and interest appropriate books selected with student input. Students are required to read and attend meetings to discuss the books we read.
Community Sponsor: Golden K Kiwanis Club
A club focused on service to others. Projects may include: Boo at the Zoo, helping at the Food Bank, sandwich making for the Salvation Army mobile van. For all students. Students are required to attend meetings and keep documentation of service hours.
Chess Club

Drama Club

Students will audition and learn parts to put on play for staff, student body and families.
For 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

Math Counts

This group works on advancing math skills and learning new ways to solve problems. The group attends competitions around the city and state
Membership consists of sixth, seventh and eighth grade advanced math placement students who have a love of math and problem solving!
Meet during home room with additional practice time before or after school as competitions get closer.
ReAct

A club focusing on the education and prevention of tobacco use and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Run with support of RiverStone Health.
For all students.
Student council helps organize fundraisers, spirit days, and assemblies at Riverside. We meet before school at 7:15 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, unless it is deemed necessary to hold an extra meeting. Students are still welcome to get breakfast at school.

An auditioned small ensemble of selected members from 7th and 8th grade choirs that meets weekly to prepare extra music for the school, community, and the annual Swing Choir Gala event.

Cougar pride yearbook is a publication created by students, for students.
For 7th and 8th grade students, limited to 15 participants.
Although staff members begin taking pictures early in the year, the creation of the book and majority of meetings occur on select Fridays, January through March.
