April 20th, 2020 Update

Dear Students,

We hope this letter finds you well. In unprecedented times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by the day-to-day hurdles of societal shutdown, but know that we are here to support you. Please reach out to your teachers and counselors if you are struggling and, together, we will all manage to pull through--but the key word here is together.

Please, HELP US HELP YOU. It is important that you check your student email, answer phone calls, communicate when you need clarification, and complete your assignments. We will do our best to support you, to walk you through your struggles, and to show grace and compassion when assessing and grading your work during these difficult times. However, the state requires us as educators to ensure that you are learning; we cannot simply ignore missing assignments or accept failures to communicate or complete work. So, again, help us help you, by doing your part. The time and effort you put in now will help you earn credit and avoid having to repeat courses.

Completing your daily school work with honesty and integrity will earn you the course credit you need to move one step closer to graduation. Failure to do so will result in getting zeros and may require you to take credit recovery courses and/or summer school. School still matters; grades still count.

COMPUTER CHECK OUTS:  Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

If you need to check out a chrome book, either because you do not have a computer at home or because sharing with other family members is making completion of school work difficult, please stop by at your convenience during the hours listed above.

LOCKER CLEAN OUTS:  Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Regardless of whether school resumes, lockers will need to be cleaned and sanitized. For those of you who use your lockers, over the course of the next two weeks or so, please stop by at your convenience, during the hours listed above, to get your personal belongings out of your locker and return any school materials you no longer need, such as library books, etc.
