First and foremost, we hope you and your family are doing well. Please know that the teachers and staff at West High are doing our best to support you through these unchartered waters. We want to ensure that each of you has the chance to access your education in the way that best supports your current academic needs. Teachers will be posting resources and content online, and we will do our best to provide chromebooks and/or hard copies to those of you who need them. Our intention is that you have every opportunity to benefit your education over the next two weeks without being penalized if circumstances prevent you from doing so.
Please check your student email daily for teacher communications; also check for updates on the West High Website. Help us help you by taking the following three steps:
1. Focus first on completing any missing assignments and understanding any teaching/instruction that you've missed, so that you can bring your grades up.
2. Focus second on the readings, resources, and activities provided by your teacher to help you learn and grow while away.
3. Reflect upon your personal goals and what you can do to empower yourself to reach them, whether that be filling out scholarship applications, completing personal projects, or focusing on your passion and hobbies.
