Welcome to Billings Public Schools

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year. I am excited to begin my second year with the Billings Public Schools as we work together to support the education of each of our students. Every child has unique talents and abilities. Our job is to meet them where they are when they come to us, and do everything in our power to bring them to the highest of their ability. We cannot rest until every child succeeds, and we cannot afford to have even one fall through the cracks. When investing in real estate, people say to remember location, location, location. When investing in the education of children, we say people, people, people! The foundational links that cannot be broken in the chain of educational success are parents, staff and community members working together.
This year, as every year, we commit ourselves to providing the very best educational experience for our students. We are committed to sustaining and improving academic achievement for all students, increasing parental and community involvement and maintaining a focus on continuous District and student achievement. I want to make a special note of thanking our staff for their extra efforts, understanding and patience as we continue to work toward accommodating the overcrowding issues we face. I know that some are working in less than desirable spaces. We will be making every effort this year to assure that this improves.

In closing, I want to invite our families and members of our community to visit our schools and classrooms. You will be impressed with the commitment and dedication of our staff, school board and volunteers.
