Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community Members:

Billings Public Schools will be hosting their second Redistricting Forum on Tuesday, Decemb 16th. Please take time to review additional information within in this newsletter. The progress the new middle school at 56th Street West and Grand Avenue will be discussed at our regular board meeting on Monday, December 15th in the Lincoln Center Board Room.   • This year's annual School Trustee Election is May 5, 2015 for Single Member District #4 (Central Billings), #5 (West Billings), #6 (Northwest Billings) and High School District A (Lockwood.)
    • Filing start date: December 21, 2014
    • Filing close date:  March 26, 2015
    • Candidates must be resident in their respective district for one full year to qualify.
    • Filing packets may be picked up at the Lincoln Center, 415 North 30th Street, Room 209 or at the Yellowstone County Courthouse Election Office.
    • Packets must be returned to the Yellowstone County Election office by March 26, 2015.

Dual Credit OpportunityMSU-B and BPS are collaborating in an effort to open doors to post-secondary education to students and reduce student college debt, through a dual credit program. We will be offering College Algebra 121 and College Trigonometry 122 to students who have completed Algebra II. We will also be offering Metals 124 and Metals 125 to students who have completed the first year of welding.
