DRIVER’S EDUCATION CLASSES FOR 2012-2013
CLASSES ARE OFFERED AT SENIOR, SKYVIEW, AND WEST
Most classes for Fall, Winter, and Spring Session are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 – 5:15. Calendars are provided to parents and students. Students are allowed to make up 2 days during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Sessions. NO EXCEPTIONS. The fee of $205.00 is required at the time of enrollment. Please make checks payable to BPS (Billings Public Schools). If demand exceeds available slots during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Session, a random lottery drawing is held. Students not drawn will receive payment back in mail. If paid by cash or money order, you will receive a check from Billings Public Schools 10-14 business days after the 1st day of class OR you can call 281-5100 to make an appointment to pick up from the Drivers Education office located in the basement of the Lincoln Center (415 N. 30th).
Registration forms will be available in the main office at Senior, Skyview, & West as well as the Drivers Education Office located in the basement of the Lincoln Center (415 N. 30th) during the dates listed below.
FALL: Registration will be August 27th thru September 6th. To be eligible for this session, students need to be born on or before March 18, 1998 AND a high school student. A posting of the student’s names drawn will be in the main office on Monday, September 10th. Classes begin on September 18th and end on November 14th. (Make-up: Date to be determined by instructor)
WINTER: Registration at Senior: October 29th thru November 9th. Registration at Skyview and West: November 5th thru November 9th. To be eligible for this session, students need to be born on or before June 4, 1998 AND a high school student. A posting of the student’s names drawn will be in the main office on Tuesday, November 13th. Classes begin on December 4th and end on February 20th. (Make-up: Date to be determined by instructor)
SPRING: Registration at Senior: January 28th thru February 8th. Registration at Skyview and West: February 4th thru February 8th. To be eligible for this session, students need to be born on or before September 5, 1998 AND a high school student. A posting of the student’s names drawn will be in the main office on Tuesday, February 12th. Classes begin on March 5th and end on May 8th. (Make-up: Date to be determined by instructor)
ANY STUDENT SIGNING UP FOR BOTH THE FALL & WINTER SESSION WHOSE NAME IS NOT DRAWN WILL BE GUARANTEED A SPOT IN THE SPRING SESION. (THE STUDENT WILL STILL NEED TO REGISTER AND PAY THE FEE FOR THE SPRING SESSION)

SUMMER SESSIONS: Registration will be April 2nd thru April 30th in the main office at all Billings Public Middle and High Schools, St. Francis, Billings Central, Lockwood and Trinity Lutheran. To register after April 30th, you will need to go to the Driver’s Education office located in the basement of the Lincoln Center at 415 N. 30th. Classes are held at Senior, Skyview, and West, Monday thru Friday. We are able to accommodate all students in the summer sessions however, once classes are set after April registration, not all sessions or class times may be available at each school.
1st Session: Classes begin on June 3rd and end on July 3rd
Students need to be born on or before December 3, 1998 AND going into high school
Students may choose classroom time of 8:00am – 10:00am OR 10:00am – 12:00pm
Students are allowed to make up 5 days in the 1st session. NO EXCEPTIONS
2nd Session: Classes begin on June 10th and end on July 12th
Students need to be born on or before December 10, 1998 AND going into high school
Classroom time is from 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Students are allowed to make up 2 days in the 2nd session. NO EXCEPTIONS
