Billings Public Schools currently enrolls approximately 15,600 students. The District's instructional program encompasses kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as adult education. We have 21 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 3 high schools. Billings Public Schools employees about 1,748 full-time equivalency positions.
Billings is located on the Yellowstone River in Yellowstone County on the eastern edge of the south-central region of Montana. Billings is the largest city in Montana, with a population of an estimated 101,182. Montana is filled with adventure and history such as rafting, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, Lewis & Clark trails, ghost towns, battlefields, you get the idea.
Current Position Announcements and Application Process
Billings Public Schools is now using AppliTrack, a Web-Based Applicant Tracking System for applying to any vacant position. Paper applications are no longer being accepted in Human Resources. Any applicant having a current paper application form on file in Human Resources must complete the online application in order to be considered for any open position.

If you are currently employed by Billings Public Schools and want to apply for a vacant position, apply as an "Internal Applicant" and use the shortened Internal Application Form. Only current, regular employees should use the Internal Application. If you are in a temporary position such as Substitute Support, Substitute Teacher, or a Licensed Long-Term Assignment, do not use the Internal Application.
